GOLDDUSCHE (translated as gold shower) is the first joint work by the artist collective Artistladieslovelove. The works was based on the concept of the bathroom as a place of contamination and purification. As an initial piece it was presented as a solo exhibition for the first time in Cologne in November 2021.
The multimedia room installation shows an abstract, black and white video projection, which is projected onto a gold foil. This reflects the light and throws it at the walls of the room. The golden reflections in the room, reminiscent of the northern lights, meet the black and white videos on the walls and through this symbiosis create a mystical scenery that transports the viewer to another world. In front of the gold foil is the sculpture of a broken drop positioned in the middle of the space. Composed of broken glass shards and small pieces of gold foil, it hangs suspended in space attached to a thread and balanced by a block of 5 kg of black soap. Due to the specific construction, the drop rotates on its own axis and casts its rotating reflection like a satellite on the walls of the room. Each visitor receives a piece of gold foil with which he/she can interact with the light and projections.
The engaging sound design by the artist Eduard Starcic completes the installation as a whole.

In spring 2020 Jonina Mjöll Thormodsdottir, Eva Naomi Watanabe and Sanaz Starcic founded the artist collective Artistladieslovelove with the focus and goal of mutual support in the creation of artistic works and exhibitions.
Artistladieslovelove sees itself as an example of collegial and appreciative cooperation among artists of all disciplines and is eager to equally support others.
