About.Salt. ist eine multimediale Installation, die sich durch die Medien Tanz, Video und Sound in einer Skulptur im Raum ausdrückt. Die Arbeit basiert auf dem zweiteiligen Livestück SALT., welches unter Zusammenarbeit von Constanza Ruiz Campusano, Silke Schuster und Sanaz Starcic im Rahmen des Projekts frames:[everyday] von Darko Dragicevic und Martin Sonderkamp entstanden ist. Das Stück wurde von der Künstlerin Sanaz Starcic in About.Salt. neu adaptiert und als Endlosschleife im Raum installiert. Der Boden ist mit 200kg, im Raum verteilten Salz bedeckt. Der Betrachter ist eingeladen durch das Salz zu laufen um die Videoprojektionen auf den verschiedenen Objekten wahrnehmen zu können. Es sind insgesamt drei geometrische Projektionsobjekte. Der Betrachter wird durch die wechselnden Videos, welche als alleinige Lichtquelle dienen, durch den Raum geführt. Durch das Loop und die sich verändernden Videoaufnahmen, die zwischen Nahe und Totale springen, werden Zeit und Raum des Abgebildeten verfremdet. Der Sound spielt eine ebenso große Rolle, denn er fordert den Betrachter auf, sich klanglich passend durch die surreale Salzwelt zu bewegen.

About.Salt. is a multimedia installation that expresses itself through the media dance, video and sound as a sculpture placed in a room. The work is based on the two-part live piece SALT., that was created in collaboration with Constanza Ruiz Campusano, Silke Schuster and Sanaz Starcic as part of a project called frames:[everyday] by Darko Dragicevic and Martin Sonderkamp. The piece was adapted by the artist Sanaz Starcic under the name of About.Salt displaying an endless loop installed in a space. The floor is covered by 200kg of salt spread all over the place. The viewer is invited to walk through the salt in order to take in all of the video projections on the different objects. There are three geometrical objects of projection. Led only by the light coming from the video projection the spectator makes his way through the room. Finally by creation of the loop and its switching between close ups and long shots, time and space of the images are being alienated. The sound plays an equally important part as it invites the viewers to adjust the way they walk to the sounds they hear.
